We watch the flight market like a daily newspaper watches the stock market — and we explain what we earn from it, plainly.

SkyMarket Media is an owner-operated, independent fare-research desk in Los Angeles, California. We are not a travel agency, an Online Travel Agency, or a ticket seller, and we are not affiliated with any airline. We do not sell tickets, hold passenger funds, or issue PNRs — every fare on this site opens at the carrier or partner site, where the booking is completed.

The desk runs from a small office at 12100 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 800. Two people — both former pricing analysts — sit behind it. We publish a daily fare digest, eight evergreen reference pieces, and a deterministic price-comparison engine that sweeps a single comparison-search partner (Kayak) for every route on the desk.

How we keep the desk honest

  • Fares quoted are estimates pulled from public partner pages; the final price is whatever the partner shows at checkout.
  • Every outbound link is tested before publication and re-checked on a rolling 30-day cycle. Dead or rerouted partners are pulled.
  • Partners cannot pay for higher placement on SkyMarket Media. The order is editorial.
  • No sponsored "best of" posts, no advertorial, no celebrity endorsements.
  • Corrections are published on the same page, with the change date.

How we make money

SkyMarket Media is reader-supported through affiliate referral fees. When you click an outbound link and complete a booking on a partner site, the partner may pay us a small commission at no extra cost to you. That commission does not change the price you see at the partner, and it does not influence our editorial ranking or the order of cards on the desk. We do not host third-party display-ad networks on our own pages, and we do not sell reader data. The advertising and remarketing technologies we use are disclosed in our privacy policy.

What we are not

We are not an OTA. We do not compete with comparison-search platforms — we route you to one. We are not affiliated with any carrier. We do not accept payment to rank fares.
